We’ve noticed a trend in the last few months; increased sales of petrol LPG vans. Search data from our micro site at www.anchorford.co.uk has shown a distinct preference for these used duel fuel vans, and when we looked at our recent sales breakdowns, this high demand for LPG vans became obvious.
It makes a lot of sense in times when businesses are looking for ways to save money. An LPG van can do that on two counts; a reduced need for petrol – and considering how prices have been creeping back up again lately, that’s a big advantage. The second is a big advantage for businesses who operate in and around Central London, in particular those who make deliveries to locations within the congestion charge zone. Petrol LPG vans with low emissions are exempt from the charge, saving a business £8 a day! If a business is making deliveries every day, switching to a petrol LPG van saves a whopping £2080 a year – easily covering the cost of leasing the vehicle.
We’d like to say that people are buying the used petrol LPG vans for environmental reasons, but whilst we think that’s a bonus, it looks like it’s the financial benefits that are winning people over.
