Anchor Vans announces plans to expand Ford-approved vehicle servicing facilities at Padworth A4 Bath Road site, seeks ford-approved service technicians

Padworth UK, Anchor Vans – a leading UK used van vendor and one of Berkshire's largest Ford-approved vehicle servicing agents, has announced plans to expand the vehicle servicing facilities at the A4 Bath Road site. Since gaining Ford-approved service agent status in spring 2009, the vehicle servicing and MOT facilities have been extremely successful, and are now working full capacity. The expansion will create five new servicing ramps and two bays, and more local jobs.

"We launched this side of the business less than a year ago, and already we are at capacity and have finances in place to expand. It's made a huge difference to the used van side of the business as we've reduced the waiting time for Ford warranties on vans we want to sell from two weeks to a day. It's also made a big difference to our local community as there was a real shortage of Ford-approved service agents in the area."

The planned expansion of the vehicle servicing facilities will require the recruitment of extra mechanics. "Yes, we're already starting to look for ford-approved service technicians in preparation for the expansion," Simon explained. "We'll need very skilled individuals to be able to provide the excellent standards that we require. Both as Anchor Vans and as a Ford-approved service agent, we take great care in recruiting the right people to join us. That's another thing that makes me so pleased about the expansion," Simon added, "we'll be able to recruit more people from the local community, something that we take great pride in as a major local employer."
